Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift

Book Review of Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift

Gulliver's trip tells the story of Lemuel Gulliver, an intelligent Englishman who trained as a marine surgeon when his business failed. In the account of the first deceased who did not show signs of self-control or deep emotional reactions, Gulliver relates what happened to him on this journey.

Gulliver's adventure in Lilliput begins when he wakes up from the back of his ship to find himself bound by countless tiny strands and talking to young kidnappers who fear him but are very protective of their empire. They are not afraid to use violence against Gulliver, even if their arrows are more than pinpricks.

After living in England with his wife and family for two months, Gulliver embarks on a next sea voyage, taking him to the land of giants called Brobdingnag. Next, Gulliver sets sail and again, after being attacked by the corridors, ends at Laputa, where a floating island of aristocratic settlers is pressing the lower equator, called Balnibarbi.

Finally, on his fourth voyage, Gulliver travels as a ship's captain, but after being confused by his crew and being locked up for a long time in his kitchen, he arrives in a strange land.

By making people laugh at the evils and cunning of the people Gulliver encounters in his travels, he hopes that they will teach the students to do their own bad things and their unequivocal acceptance of harsh cultures and perhaps change their ways.
