Book Review of Women Lead the Way by Linda Tarr- Whelan
Women Lead the way is a refreshing read not only for women but everyone. Linda Tarr- Whelan through the course of the book presents factual figures regarding the involvement of females in education, representation in politics and taking leadership roles. The book displays a combination of research (facts and figures), experience sharing and guiding with personalized stories. The book tries to induce a sense of confidence among women by offering practical solutions in turn compelling them to best use their abilities to gain a better life. Women have always been subjected to secondary roles. The number of women occupying various leadership roles is very less making it very difficult to have a greater impact in this world. Hence by offering practical solutions and progressive ideas, this book provokes one to think about the existing reality and emphasizes on making a change and leaping in to the desire of achieving goals. Linda strongly advocates the need to have at least 30% of the vacancy to be filled by women in Government and Corporate world. For achieving a true sense of equality utilizing the skills and decision making ability of women is important. The book even though written on the crux of empowering women and tapping their potential it displays the ability to impart wisdom to every individual.
