       Here, Romantic Sailor , Duke , Sailor and the beautiful nurse were caught in the web of the love, betrayal and the passion. Basically the novel covers hospital romance and the western taboos, relationship and the love - triangle. According to me she has done an excellent work by selecting the best examples from late 70's and the 1930's period. She has given a beautiful diversity from the olden period. Where great description is given about man that is he is dark tall and handsome with playful kind of hairs. Though the novel was published in 2001, period, it shows that how male were attracted  to the sex , violence and the romance with women's. From this novel the author is trying to show that how women's lost their dignity and respect in the olden days and how they gave themselves to men's. Firstly women's were only allowed to express their thoughts  in the books or any written format. Women's were suppressed and were not allowed to do many works. They had to depend on the men for every work. Each Chapter of the novel shows different aspects of life and the women's with popular writer like Bantam and many more . Author has also included many companies. The novel also talks about Virginity of women's  and how they fall in love with different kind of man. Author has also used different period of the time to compare the achievement of men and women. According to the novel the heroin's in 1950's were finding difficult to choose between man and career and I think, in today's time also women's are more career concentrated rather  than focusing on men. The novel also shows the romance between nurse and the doctor. After 1970's the growing of women from every aspect was seen and the feminist movement was taking place. The romance literature had changed many things and also the perspective of the people during that period of time. After facing the criticism women's did not stop writing and they continued with the romance novels and writings. The novel also describes about the different moods like erotic, romantic any many more. After some time romantic novels were considered as the highest selling novels and the  books, people started enjoying and novel.

         According to me when it comes to romantic novels and that to written by women's people and the society do not accept it . So I think this novel would change the perspective towards a women.
