The book tells us a story of young Swedish
boy name hakkan who along with his brother was sent by their father to start a
new life in New York the story contains a part of War basically in 1830 so the
story is about a boy who is separated from his brother and after that he is
completely lost about what to do next as he is Swedish and he don't know
English so his like out of his thinking 3 decides to go to New York but
unfortunately lands up California and then he again decides to go to New York
during this journey what follows him is the adventurers and misadventures and misfortune
the book is actually a brilliant debut and is full of suspense and narration of
a migration and beautifully written in the distance is a novel which has a very
modern feel of story line at the story captures the struggle that a person have
in his heart while he is migrating or during migration so in this the boy name
hakkan he founders of ask questions about the nature of humanity and about the
nature.
The book is outstandingly well written and is
one of the beautiful and landscape writing ever and the writer Hernan Diaz
properly used hakkan lack of English language to create a tension scenes so
basically the story is bitter sweet as it captures the loneliness . During this
journey hakkan learns new things as he physically grows
